WALK in the shoes of Missionaries

Belgium & Latvia - June 14-24, 2026

This trip is designed to expose participants to what life and ministry looks like for missionaries in Europe, with a strong emphasis on discipleship, cultural understanding, and prayerful engagement. It combines classroom-style learning with real-world interaction alongside missionaries and local ministry leaders.

Who Should Consider This Trip (Trip is capped at 12 participants)
  • Individuals exploring cross-cultural or international ministry (These participants will get first priority for the trip)
  • Mission supporters who want a clearer picture of what God is doing in Europe
  • Those desiring to pray more effectively through firsthand understanding

  • Location: Belgium & Latvia (Brussels → Riga)
  • Dates: June 14–24, 2026
  • Cost: $2,850 per person
  • Team Size: Capped at 10 participants
  • Application Deadline: January 31
  • Audience: Those interested in cross-cultural ministry or who support missions and want deeper understanding
  • Training Included: Required preparation class (late May) + Q&A meeting
  • Support Raising: Participants are encouraged to raise financial support

Ministry & Training Focus
  • Participate in a Neighbors to Nations discipleship cohort
  • Learn in a classroom-style setting alongside missionaries and ministry partners
  • Join a group hosted in Belgium, with additional participants from local ministries
  • Teaching led by:
    • Ivan Kalabric – Serbian, World Partners missionary
    • Rick Dugan – Missionary supported by Avalon Missionary Church and guest preacher at Avalon

Additional Notes
  • A mandatory pre-trip class will be held in late May
  • A Q&A meeting will be offered for interested participants on January 11 at 10:30 in Room 204
  • Participants will receive guidance and encouragement for support raising
